The iBeacon tracker is a small, wireless Bluetooth device that transmits a signal interacting with other devices, detecting when a particular employee is entering the workplace.

Each employee’s app is connected to the iBeacon with a unique ID to pass the information to SameSystem, ensuring the most accurate attendance tracking possible.

So why is attendance tracking not used everywhere?

It is often related to older solutions not explicitly made 
for retail and hospitality. SameSystem iBeacon has been developed exclusively for our more than 1,100 international customers. It is easy to use and saves valuable time and money.

With attendance tracking, you will pay for unscheduled working hours. On the contrary, with an iBeacon, employees are only paid from the beginning of a shift – unless they are called in to solve a specific task. The same logic applies if they stay after hours.

Setting up the hardware is expensive and cumbersome. SameSystem’s iBeacon is delivered free of charge and is smaller than the palm of your hand. It is mounted using double-sided adhesive tape. No power or internet connection is required. It takes less than a minute to activate the device in SameSystem’s app.

Employees will find us inflexible. Punch clocks are inflexible. With SameSystem’s iBeacon, employees can easily specify a reason if they arrive at a different time than scheduled. For instance: ‘The manager asked me to pick up lunch on the way’.
